APPRECIATE THE BEAUTY OF CHANGE

APPRECIATE THE BEAUTY OF CHANGE Change! The guarantee of life, you may like it, you may not but change happens anyway. The process of becoming different in form, in state of affairs, in circumstances. It is inevitable, it is beautiful. Change is always happening, a caterpillar becomes a butterfly, a mustard seed becomes a giant tree, a tiny baby becomes an army commander, a president, a grandparent....it's change, it's beautiful. Ages come and go, from stone age to iron age its a process of transformation. Time waits for no man, neither does change! From where I stand ttime and change are allies. To understand time and change is to understand life. Befriend them. No situation remains the same forever no matter how good or bad it is, it is subject to change. If its good enjoy it and anticipate change , it could change to be much better or present a new challenge. If its bad keep your head up and know that it's going to change, if its the worst situation you've e

AFRICA DAY! NKOSI SIKELEL' IAFRICA - GOD BLESS AFRICA!

AFRICA DAY! WE CELEBRATE NKOSI SIKELEL' IAFRICA! Africa day! Once again we commemorate and celebrate this great day of all things African. 1963 in Ethiopia, Addis Ababa a country on the mighty red sea, the Organisation of African Unity was formed to foster cooperation among African countries and eliminate colonialism on the continent. Of these two goals the latter was realised whilst the former is ongoing and great milestones have been reached thus far. The Organisation of African Unity aka the OAU matured in 2002 and became the African Union. This is the epitome and greatest platform of the African Agenda mainly in the diplomatic and political scheme of things as it is the responsibility of member heads of states and governments working with appointed diplomats, envoys and their employees and partners. It is where the fathers and mothers meet to deliberate, debate and chart the way forward for our beloved continent tackling Africa's problems and finding solutions. Tod

BEYOND THE OBVIOUS - EXPERIENCES AGAINST ODDS

Beyond The Obvious - Experiences Against Odds There is always more than meets the eye in the experiences of life, there are always deeper underlying meanings and lessons beyond the obvious in the moments that make up our lives. The best and most crucial time to be aware of the above notion is during challenging times of difficulty and distress when we are presented with situations which appear to be larger than all of our life and certain to overwhelm us. Such feeling comes based on the obvious facts in front of us which are usually referred to as "the odds". When the odds appear against us we have a strong inclination to cringe and shrink in their face and resign to their seeming unstoppable power. However, beyond the obvious facts and the odds lies great and limitless power, the  wherewithal to see beyond the obvious and tap into this power and rise above the seemingly insurmountable challenges and situations. This power resides inside each and everyone of us and is

Africa - Industrialisation gaps & "grafting on" the Fourth Industrial Revolution

Africa - Industrialisation gaps & "grafting on" the 4th Industrial Revolution So we have first world and third world countries, one could safely say this is mainly in terms of civilisation characterised by economic and industrial development. From these descriptions alone it is clear that there is a gap in between such countries yet globalisation is no longer an analyst  or textbook phenomena. So a drone can be seen in the remotest part of an african village, yes modern technology literally knows no borders, think google earth? Yes  that kind of technological penetration. This therefore brings one to say with this kind of advancement does the third world  really need to catch up with the first world on a linear development format? Not necessarily so, it is possible to devise strategies of blending in the fourth industrial revolution to the third world by mostly leapfrogging and literally "grafting on" concepts and systems where it is practical and urgent.

World Economic Forum Africa - Rwanda, May 2016

World Economic Forum Africa -Rwanda, May 2016 The grand African business indaba. The dignitaries meet hailing from all corners of the continent to collaborate, debate, discuss, compare notes exchange ideas as well as exhibit their competitive advantages. Every official attending ought to have tangible takeaways to present back home consistent with their official mandate. How about concerns regarding happenings in the economies of fellow brother and sister countries? Are they openely discussed constructively or they are snuffled out by diplomatic boundaries of expected respect and consciousness of individual countries' sovereignties. Can the South African finance minister have an honest chat with his Zimbabwean counterpart about the level of inflation in his country and possible remedies? Can the Tanzanian finance minister recommend solutions for fiscal policy reform to his Nigerian counterpart? Can such conversations be held without igniting political spats and standoffs? It

Stay the course - claim your prize!

Stay the course - Claim your prize So it seems all uphill no finish line in sight, stay the course. Keep at it, keep moving for the destination lies  ahead. Stay the course and reach for the vision. Winding and winding the path may get yet the mind remains straight and focused on the goal. The mind levels the uphills, straightens the bends, fills the valleys the mind maintains focus, it guards and guides. Nurture the vision in the course of the journey keep it alive it has the power to keep you alive. Belive in the vision and stay the course. Keep moving each stride and step in the forward direction takes you closer to the goal than you have ever been. Stay the course and keep the goal in sight, eyes on the prize.
