WHAT'S THE SECRET TO ATTAINING ALL OBJECTIVES WITHOUT EXCEPTION? - GTD!

GTD??? - Yes! That is the secret and formula for attaining objectives and accomplishing missions, it is Getting Things Done!

A very simple yet guaranteed formula, nothing in individual or organisational objectives moves unless the people move and actually get things done with end result in mind. Getting things done means doing specific, clearly outlined and defined tasks with measurable progress and outcomes. In individual cases one ought to know that when they rest for any reason as the one with full responsibility of carrying out the specific tasks, the progress of the mission does the same it rests as well!

 However this is not to say we must madly push ourselves beyond reasonable limits for fear of the project resting when we do, the point being made here is that rest must not be random, it must be part of the plan and taken timeously with the resting time incorporated into the overall time-frame expected and allocated for the mission at hand barring unforeseen developments.

In organised set ups the same applies in terms of planning time-outs and recovery periods although it is easier and more efficiency can be registered with members alternating on rest periods without interrupting the flow of work, it becomes a continuous operation.
At any point in time if objectives are to be realised and missions accomplished whoever is involved and has specific tasks and assignments within the project must be able to explain the prevailing status of things and overall position relative to the end goal. They must be able to articulate the work that has been put in with the progress registered resulting from that work and what is outstanding in terms of work to be done. This is GTD, this is constant awareness, keeping fingers on the pulse eyes on the prize and never losing focus.

Another common and business term for GTD is EXECUTION! Execution is simply defined by this philosophy and mentality explained above - it is the discipline of getting things done!

All the glorious and expertly done plans come down to nothing if there is no robust and efficient execution, they either die as plans and blue prints on paper or get poor outcomes in the absence of intentional, clear, results oriented and spartan like execution. Getting things done when they should be done and how they should be done is the main formula and open secret to achievement and recording unprecedented success.

A team and organisation that
 would be successful must know this without illusions, personalities must be gotten out of the way. From the leader at the top right to the lowest ranked member of the team at the bottom everyone must grasp that every task matters no matter the level in the hierarchy and as such respect among members must be cast in stone if everyone is to pull their weight and the objectives get realised and the mission accomplished.
No mission is impossible or goal too big if it is broken down to small connected tasks actionable one by one or concurrently where permissible. Getting right things done is the only way to victory and getting them done right.

There are no exceptions to this premise whatever the mission or objectives and goals. From smallest of personal and individual tasks to the biggest organisational missions at international and global scale it applies in exactly the same manner, the secret is get things done! Once the plans are outlined reviewed and tested what follows must determined action action action and more action!
