WHY YOU SHOULD TAKE ABSOLUTE CHARGE OF YOUR CIRCLE OF INFLUENCE - IT'S

YOUR PERSONAL DOMAIN!

Daily living is a series of happenings divisible into just two categories i.e. those happenings we have control over and those we have no control over. It is important to realise and accept that some things will happen which we can only express concern about without taking any direct decisive action of our choice to influence the outcome.

However it is a mixed bag of such happenings that we have to deal with day in and day out. 

Symbolically our existence is simultaneous within two dynamic spheres around each person i.e. the smaller sphere of influence which is representative of all the things we wield influence over, those things over which we have near total if not absolute  control. The second sphere is larger and contains the smaller sphere within it and it is the sphere of concern, it contains all the things in the world which affect us yet we have no direct or any meaningful control or influence over e.g. the immigration policy of a country where the breadwinner of your family works as a foreigner. There is a constant threat of deportation and poor conditions of service for them.

 You may get worried sick about it but it is a matter

you can only be concerned about without much influence into its outcomes. Solutions of this kind of problem would come at diplomatic level, another concern for you as getting one's point or message to a high ranking government official might be the mother of all missions you've ever had.

The good news however is that these spheres are dynamic, they either expand or shrink proportionally to

one's work and effort with magnitude and direction. Taking charge of one's sphere of influence grows this sphere 

bigger and bigger and as that happens the sphere of concern shrinks smaller and smaller. 

In the sphere of influence one can hit home runs all the way even where curve balls are tossed at them because the means to ends are within one's grasp. With diligent planning and effort one can vigilantly manoeuvre from situation to situation thereby gaining mastery and more influence. 

A person in charge of their sphere of influence moves decisively with purpose so powerful like a juggernaut the way unfolds before them as they move ahead. Even fellow mankind including those in higher places sit up and take notice of such a person. A seemingly ordinary person of little influence and power rises to stand before the powers that be articulating what they know and do best. A verse attesting this from the holy scriptures reads; 

Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men . Proverbs 22:29 KJV

By being diligent in one's business the sphere of influence grows inevitably and naturally the sphere of concern shrinks. What may have been unapproachable places for lack of influence and position become daily platforms where one has a voice and commands certain respect and authority.

No matter how lowly and a commoner one may feel we can all do our best with that which is within our reach, bit by bit being responsible and accountable for our time and actions we learn to be better people and put ourselves in good stead to receive bigger and better things than that little which we would have handled with responsibility, respect and accountability.

Within our sphere of influence we are like a performers called upon to showcase their act on the stage which they use daily to practise on, it's doing your thing in your own back yard everything is familiar, nothing is intimidating because over time one gets to master the challenges presented by the back yard to the point where they are negligible, however it does not mean the challenges are non-existent anymore but the individual has developed command and wields influence over them.

We should all therefore take charge of our circles of influence no matter how small they might be, even a niche will grow when determined continuous effort keeps working on it with decisiveness. 

Even our children can be taught the same attitude from a tender age, when they grow up they will not have to cut corners or use unscrupulous means to gain power and influence over things and other people.
