WHAT IS YOUR MOST WORTHY CAUSE? ARE YOU PREPARED TO SPEND YOURSELF FOR IT?

 Spending yourself is stepping up, going all out putting your skills, talent and abilities to work tirelessly and selflessly.
From time to time along the way you literally feel physically exhausted and drained of all your energy needing rest and rejuvenation yet deep inside you feel alive and raring to go on and do more once your strength is restored.
In a world of many vocations and professions so diverse yet all necessary and important, what are you prepared to spend yourself on? That which drives you more than the need for a paycheck and just getting by. That is your worthy cause which consumes you and burns deep inside.
When your mind is made up on it you pursue it with a passion, even before realisation of the ultimate goal, the preparation for it and engaging in the process feels like achievement on it's own and is victory over one's fear of starting out in the first place.
One man articulated this message well in a famous address in 1908, that man was Theodore Roosevelt former President of the United States, he said; "It is not the critic that counts. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who knows the great enthusiasm, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at the best knows the triumph of high achievement and who if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly; so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat".
There is not much joy to be found in standing in the terraces of all arenas of life experiencing neither victory nor defeat, however there is definitely great joy in finding your worthy cause and daring to get into the arena you choose and striving valiantly with tenacity and resolve spending yourself for the cause which resonates deeply within you.
Encountering failure along the way is part of the process and provides valuable practical lessons going forward of what works and what doesn't. As long as one stays the course and keeps getting better with time, victory eventually & inevitably comes one's way.
Being prepared and ready to pay the price for the cause is key as it is the inherent driving force and sustaining power to be drawn upon when the going gets tough because more often than not it does get grueling and hard.
A mind that is made up and prepared in pursuit of a worthy cause is like a juggernaut that stops at nothing in its path, it is consumed, driven and determined.
 What is your cause? It could be individual or collective depending on its nature and purpose, either way it takes full commitment and being prepared to spend oneself on it. If it's burning inside of you prepare yourself, brace for all manner of adversity along the way and go for it, after all it's your cause and it's worthy.
