CAN HARD WORK & EFFORT REJUVENATE? - YES! HERE'S HOW & WHEN

CAN HARD WORK AND EFFORT REJUVENATE? - YES! HERE'S HOW  & WHEN.

Ordinarily hard labour under pressure in gruelling situations where maximum concerted
effort is required leaves one exhausted and drained of every ounce of drive and enthusiasm. However, it is possible to be charged up and rejuvenated by hard work and fully exerted  effort.

To begin with it is the attitude and stance we adopt in the face of demanding circumstances be they physical or intellectual that determines whether our hard work and effort rejuvenates or leaves us reeling under stress and fatigue. Secondly it is the presence or absence of purpose and vision as we go through these difficult and demanding situations.

Picture the following scenario; A football match tournament final  pitting two big teams fighting tooth and nail, they apply all the energy, power and skill employing best strategy and tactics for ninety minutes with the scores tied up, they take a short break and go at it again for another gruelling thirty minutes of extra time and the scores remain level after which they go on to penalty shoot-outs until sudden death when one of the teams prevails and are crowned champions.

As the winning spot kick goes in the very same players having criss crossed the field with intensity and pressure for more than one hundred and twenty minutes suddenly erupt into song and dance running in all directions in the field with jubilation.

How does it happen? Where is the sudden burst of energy coming from? It is the rejuvenating effect of accomplishment resulting from purposeful hardwork with intent and positive attitude. Although this analogy is based on sport, it applies just as well in our day to day work in all our various areas of work and callings because we all face demanding and daunting situations from time to time, after a hard day's work though having worked with purpose and intention focused on our goals we also feel
charged up and spurred on when our goals for the day have been achieved. It could be a project that would have consumed one in individual capacity or a whole team for more than just a day of hard work, the feeling is just the same when success is realised. Confidence levels shoot up and self belief grows stronger. We feel like going on and all the stress and strain seems to vanish suddenly.

This give credence to the cliche "If you love what you do you'll never work a day in your life" because as much as the tasks one has to carry out or circumstances they face maybe demanding it's all viewed as necessary effort for the realisation of set goals, for accomplishment, well earned success and sweet victory.
The sweetness of victory leaves one feeling vibrant and bubbling with renewed energy.

Therefore each time we face demanding situations in all that we do it is worth recalling our purpose and reason for being, to recite our personal mantra and envisage the scenario past the difficult situation when we have overcome and achieved positive results. It places calibrates our attitude and mindset for positive results.
However this is not to say every battle is guaranteed to be won outright but we are able to appreciate our own effort even in the face of loss and temporary failure because the battle is not the war and a well calibrated mindset and attitude allow us to regroup and pull ourselves together in the shortest possible time because there are times when we have to live to fight another day.

So hard work with purpose is good, very good.  It can definitely be rejuvenating when we set out fully aware of what we are going into, with our goals clearly defined we take on everything that stands in our way like a juggernaut till the mission gets accomplished.
Even with bruises all over when we claim victory the pain is sweet and we feel good all over. We can all taste of such sweet pain by taking on our demanding work with purpose and positive intention, so go ahead do it and feel the sweetness of well earned victory!
