Desire alone is not enough, it is a good place to start though, desire is scalar in nature it has magnitude, so much magnitude it can burn one on the inside and we call it a burning desire. However to unlock it and realise victory we must employ  actual calculated vectorial action with both magnitude and direction to get us from where we are right now to where we intend to get, once the action gets rolling and we maintain focus doing what needs to be done in good yet tenacious and unrelenting faith we find ourselves even beyond our imagined ultimate destination.

When energy is thrown behind a genuine cause of which there is total conviction no amount of pitfalls and obstacles should deter us from manoeuvring and staying the course.

Desire to succeed alone is not enough, it requires the tenacity, determination, perseverance and sober mindedness. Sometimes we need to dig a little deeper and put in more than the bare minimum effort, there are conventional paths to arriving at certain points in life literally and figuratively.
To arrive at point B from point A there is only one shortest possible distance or displacement as it were, that is the conventional route, however there are infinite alternative routes of arriving at point B, the only difference being that they are longer somehow.
So if the desire is there and willpower and action are employed, anyone will reach point albeit through different avenues but when all is said and done everyone who arrives at point B is a conqueror in their own right.
In life out here the podium is not limited to three places as in sport which takes place under controlled conditions where everyone supposedly enjoys equal chances. In this jungle of life the conditions differ from person to person and place to place hence the unlimited podium places. In fact everyone has the opportunity for first prize if we could be willing to accept and realise that the conventional routes are not the only routes and we ought not be limited by them.
It is the road less travelled that teaches us new things along the journey and still rewards us with satisfaction, pride and joy at the end.
 No matter who we are and no matter where we are if we look harder, dig deeper, go a little further with more tenacity and determination all obstacles can be overcome and we achieve our ultimate desire.

Outside the comfort zones into the unfamiliar territories we find new answers and perspectives, one's mind is the ultimate tool to decide whether or not to keep venturing or devise new methods. There is never loss in trying and failing because there is a lesson hidden in every failure and that lesson is always invaluable in informing new decisions going forward.
It is possible to conquer with powerful vectorial  action. Spot the target, the ultimate prize and go for the jugular! Chance happens to us all if only we could pause for a moment, appreciate that life is a gift and do our best to spend it wisely enjoying the fruits of hard work, faith and determination with love for neighbor and self.
