Pure athletic brilliance who can resist? Driven by the powerful focused mind, it's stronger than steroids. Across disciplines from turfs to tracks, from rings to courts, yes even airborne action, sport brings people together to witness talent unleashed and beauty displayed
Since time immemorial warriors and heroic displays were entertainment for the masses people applying themselves to bring out the best of their talents, skills and abilities.
Sport rose to commercial levels athletes earn a living and soms become super rich, an honour and worthy recognition of the effort applied and time spent by people perfecting their craft and honing their skills.
Competition and the uncontrolled desire to perform above and beyond one's peers in order to earn the mega bucks has brought with it an ugly phenomenon called doping!
This animal born from the age old vice called greed comes about and taints our beloved sports and steals all the fun and mesmerising effects of pure talent.
People vote with their feet and their
dollars to visit the stadiums, the rings, the circuits, the courts and fields just to watch and be thrilled by human beings are capable of displaying in their respective disciplines. Pure talent sheer brilliant performance.
But doping and illegal substances?? Noooo!! It's robbery and insult to the masses. Spectators expect the real version of the athletes unaltered but well trained and articulate in their act, to dope is to deprive the fans a fair deal and setting unreal standards because its another version of you and lie, a farce.
Imagine the standing ovations and rapturous applauses in stadiums packed with spectators only to learn that the performance was rigged, the athlete was high on performance enhancing subtances ....all sorts of negative emotions well up in the spectator's heart and mind the hero becomes the villain. The youngsters once inspired and mesmerised by the performances are shattered and confused. The standard bearer is out the milestones were not real. How sad!
Stem the greed and the uncontrolled desire for success it steals the joy and takes the wind out of the sails. Talent pure and perfected is wonderful, it's enough for a day's performance and records worker harder, dig deeper and new records are set with the old ones tumbling all from real talent and performance it's possible.
Wind back to history and think about the four minute mile, Roger Banister did it! Since then multitudes have done it including high school kids no doping, no performance enhancing substances!
There is unlimited power in the human mind when it concentrates and focuses, the sages of the east called it joriki. Yes athletes you can do it! You can mesmerise the crowds and fans with your own power and amazing performance not borrowed from substances and drugs. You can do it without breaking the hearts of youngsters who go all the way to idolising you believing and admiring your talent, you deserve it for your hard work but please spare them the heartache and pain give them the real deal.
You can do it, yes you can! just do it, your mind is powerful it's stronger than steroids! It's unlimited and its legal.
