HERE'S A FRESH OPPORTUNITY TO ADJUST FOR US ALL PERSONALLY AND IN BUSINESS - HELLO 2017!

HERE'S A FRESH OPPORTUNITY TO ADJUST FOR US ALL PERSONALLY & IN BUSINESS  - HELLO 2017!

So we are in 2017. It's interesting because this year particularly, the first day of the year is the first day of the month as well as the first day of the week. Sunday the 1st of January 2017. One gets a feeling of newness, a reboot of things it's like a "restore to default settings" on an electronic device.

We often restore our gadgets to default or factory settings after we have cumulatively messed up over time and we eventually have no idea what is happening with them. It gets confusing and chaotic, so to alleviate the misery we restore to default settings.

Suddenly voila! A clean slate, new beginning. Such is the time we find ourselves in once every year. It is a fact that life in its totality has no reset, undo or restore to default settings buttons, once something is done its done we face the consequences and it goes on.

However it is also a fact that life is seasonal and cyclic such that we do get moments to start anew and zero some things. So we need to assess our lives as individuals and collectively to identify those aspects which can in-fact be restored to default settings at the turn of seasons and cycles. When we are able to identify them we waste no time and move swiftly to adjust while we still can and relaunch ourselves to winning ways.

We often hear and talk about new year resolutions which people make for the sake of having something to say when the question comes without really putting much thought to it. However if we are awake and aware of the opportunity presented by seasonal turns especially the new year we stand big chances of fresh growth and development. What misery have you been facing going to the close of 2016 because it all got jumbled up and entangled along the way?

That question is very important to answer and determine the parts which can be restored to default settings without loss in the bigger scheme of things.

The things we do from day to day emanate from our planning both strategic and tactical. The strategic can be maintained over long periods and covering bigger spaces, it is the lighthouse of our plans, however we are able to adjust the tactical things we do or overhaul them completely and still arrive at the strategic goal.

These few days when "compliments of the season" is the default greeting we should not just enjoy hearing the words and smile at one another but realise that it is a window for tactical overhauling and restoring to default settings those things which have caused us misery because we were stuck with the situations.

To some it is also an opportunity to
adjust at strategic level if this new year marks the beginning of a new period for them in their business cycles. For example It would mean 2016 closed with the end of a five-year strategic plan for them launched in 2011.
They therefore get an opportunity to restore to default settings. Budgets are drawn afresh, contracts re-visited , re-negotiated and renewed. Whatever failures of the past period are looked at and used as lessons to inform the new strategic plan.

The same approach is applicable to personal living by conscious individuals and families who are able to hold themselves and one another accountable in order to realise plans and dreams that they have individually and collectively.

So it is important for everyone of us to make the most of these seasonal turn opportunities and rise to winning ways, if we are already in winning ways we then adjust for efficiency and fine tune to keep winning bigger and better.
At this point in time dear reader are you aware of the things which can be restored to default settings in your life and alleviate misery? If not, this is a good time to identify them and devise new tactics to be employed for you to realise your objectives. From there it is possible to restore everything and start executing your new tactics.
Here's wishing you a prosperous 2017. Thank you for your support and continued readership.
