WHY PURPOSE AND MEANING SHOULD BE CONSCIOUS AND INTENTIONAL FOR ALL OUR RELATIONSHIPS WHATEVER THEY ARE

In this life appreciate those who journey with you, journey with those who appreciate you and intentionally be a good person to journey with.

Companionship and belonging is a natural human need, we all desire to identify, belong and be wanted by those who are a part of our life in one way or another.

Relationships come in two forms that is  involuntary and voluntary. One would say so because one had no say in who were going to be their parents yet they choose friends and acquaintances freely for example.

Life being the journey through time that it is needs us to have fellow sojourners with whom to share the experiences for the sake of purpose and support.

Companionship and community starts from having just another person in one's life with whom to share particular things depending on the kind of relationship it is, it could be friendship, professional relationship, romantic partnership, parent to child relationship and all family relations of various kinds.

As much as we need, value and create relationships it is important to nurture and build them the right way if they are to be beneficial to us and worth cherishing and celebrating. Our thinking and behavioural patterns as human beings are colourful and sometimes unpredictable, that inevitably and directly makes our relationships colourful too!
It is therefore incumbent upon each and every one of us to pull our weight and look at ourselves as we build relationships to ensure that we contribute to their meaningfulness, purposefulness and value to those around us. It can
be a very conscious process which we choose to realise by constantly evaluating our thoughts and actions as we interact and engage with others. We choose to make positive contributions, handle ourselves the best way we can in times of strife and controversy because they will surely come no matter how good to others  we strive to be due to many reasons chief among them being paradigms
which naturally differ from person to person thereby eliminating the guarantee but not the possibility of understanding between and amongst us as people.

A very precise and to the point expression of the meaning and value of partnership is given in this Bible verse;
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 KJV
[9] Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. [10] For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up. [11] Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone ? [12] And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

It is why one sees the necessity and reason to highlight the point of appreciating those who cooperate with us as we journey together cooperating with them creating mutually beneficial synergies and relationships. At times it's beyond mutual benefit because awareness is not homogenous amongst humanity which is why we have heroes and heroines, people who will selflessly give of themselves for the benefit of others without expecting payback, restoration, restitution and remuneration  of any kind. This therefore says to us being a good person is an internal and individual decision independent of the next person because we are never guaranteed of a favorable response from those around us and our good actions are never surety to receive the same in return.
We can all learn to love, appreciate and value one another as people in all the relationships we forge and find ourselves in. We are definitely better of united than separated, together we are able to achieve more than as individuals without any assistance or collaboration.
The whole is definitely greater than the sum of its parts.
