PAY IT FORWARD AND KEEP IT GOING!

PAY IT FORWARD & KEEP IT GOING!

Somewhere, somehow we have all used a bit of help from someone or a whole lot of it in some instances. In Ndebele we say "izandla ziyagezana" meaning that "one hand washes another" an attempt to wash a dirty hand on its own is just clumsy and ineffective compared to two hands washing each other thoroughly clean.
So it is with people and life, we learn to help others and ask for help when we need it. To say "please" and "thank you" are good manners of one who understands the concept and substance of giving and receiving help.
To say thank you is a direct acknowledgement of help from another person, it could just end there and life goes on, however an even bigger way of expressing one's gratitude and showing the extent of help received is by paying it forward! Yes! That is giving help to the next person who could use it other than the one you got it from.
When someone pulls us out of a hole we say thank you and go on to pay it forward by pulling at least one other person out of a hole. When someone allows us to stand on their shoulders and see far ahead we say thank you and go on to pay it forward by letting someone stand on our shoulders to see further and higher  ahead where they need to see.
It's a help culture and gratitude cycle which goes on driven by goodwill fostering unity and inclusion among humankind. It's a chain reaction of good deeds started by one act of help and the receiver doing their part to ensure that it continues from one person to the next. There is no binding law to govern paying it forward, just empathy in each person involved is the fuel of the cycle of concern and care for someone else other than ourselves.
We all have something to pay forward everyday from the smallest deed such as helping an elderly person cross a busy street to something as big as sponsoring an underprivileged child through school.
The joy of seeing one's effort taking a life of its own through people perpetually helping one another is immense and immeasurable. It is a joy everyone can experience and savour freely just by opening themselves up to helping others in the simplest they know how and truly appreciating even the littlest help from another person by paying if forward.

Together everybody achieves more when each one of us helps another.
What is it going to be for you today? Whatever you choose, do something pay it forward and keep it going!
